Some of my many small pieces of cobalt and cornflower blue sea glass.....can you imagine how many times I bent over to pick up one of these? I am in the middle of sorting these into 2 piles so that I can match them up later for post earrings.
My shop includes sea glass jewelry such as sea glass earrings, rings, whimsical sea glass necklaces, pendants, bracelets, and gift items. All of my sea glass is genuine and naturally tumbled by the sea. I collect my sea glass on Prince Edward Island, Canada where I was born. I now live in Wisconsin and I create my jewelry here. Very rare aqua miniature earrings!

How My Sea Glass Journey Began:
Four years ago, I visited Prince Edward Island to care for my Mom who was 91. She had been sick and needed help and company for a few weeks while she recuperated. What a joy it was to be able to spend time with her again.
My interest in sea glass started at that time. Two of my brothers were collecting sea glass and bringing their "treasures" to show us each day. This was February and it is very wintry there that time of year. But that never stops my adventuresome brothers! Their beautiful gems brought excitement to my Mom's little house. Soon I found myself out in the cold all bundled up and on the beach picking up the beauties myself.
For anyone who doesn't know, sea glass is litter from the past "made beautiful and new" by the right combinations of tides, sand and gravel. Many of these little gems are 50 to 100 years old, and they all have a history. I found myself wondering "Could my Dad, now deceased have held this same piece in his hand many years ago? Did it come from a shipwreck? Where exactly did it come from? I could hold a piece in my hand and feel it's smoothness, and just get lost in time.
I've been collecting sea glass now for almost 4 years, every chance I get, which is not very often living in Wisconsin. I long for summer days in Bayfield, Washburn, PEI, or any place where I can once again walk "enjoying the beauty, without a care".
